Too much anger and stress in our society...

Why are we all getting so angry or stressed in our society?

Is it Technology? Maybe too much information is accessible to quickly
for us to absorb all at once and now we feel we are forced to keep up and keep using it?

Maybe we are watching too much t.v.?
Is there too much negativity that we are absorbing through media?
Do you not feel the negative tone around the world? Or is it just me?

How much of the media is about war, money or hardships?
Now... how much of it is positive?  What do the majority watch?
What do your friends watch? What do your co-workers watch?
Similar kinds of programs for the most part?

What kinds of video games are most popular to kids? Its mostly angry stuff!!! Isn't it?

Does all this negativity then become part of us? We see other people getting
angry in a situation so then that gives us the green light to do it to someone else?

Since when did we become so impatient? Hmm...... technology?

One suggestion... turn the t.v. off for one week. Try it. Paint something or do a project.
Turn your computer off for a couple of days. It won't go anywhere!

Turn your cell phone off! It has become the cigarette form of technology.

Get back to the basics. Read a good book. Go for an enjoyable walk or visit your peaceful place. If you don't have a peaceful place then it is your mission to find one!

If someone gets under your skin for any reason, traffic, ATM machine line-up, grocery store line-up, whatever, think of how that will affect you a year from now. If it won't, then you have no reason to worry about it. Then, think about your happy place. Breathe...

You will realize how short life is when you reach the end. Don't be in a hurry to cross the finish line!

Give me some feedback. I appreciate you taking the time to read the blog. More to come.

  1. I agree that we have become an ADD society, where everyone wants a 'quick fix'. Perhaps we should all put down the coffee pot, sip on an herbal tea and enjoy life, instead of letting it pass us by in our rush to get to the next meeting or engagement.
